Baseball Recap: Village Christian Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Village Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt The O'Neal School on Tuesday. The Village Christian Academy Knights never let The O'Neal School Falcons get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ryan Rogers made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, Eli Guinn was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Randolph, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Village Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for The O'Neal School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Village Christian Academy will square off against Northwood Temple Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Village Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season. As for The O'Neal School, they will take on Fayetteville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The O'Neal School is facing Fayetteville Christian at the right time seeing as Fayetteville Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
