Baseball Recap: Lake Mary Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Mary Prep came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Ruskin Christian Warriors. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Griffins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lake Mary Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Ruskin Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Mary Prep will head out to face off against Circle Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Griffins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Centurions have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Ruskin Christian, they will face off against Foundation Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
