Football Game Preview: Jasper Bulldogs vs. Silsbee Tigers + How To Watch

Jasper is 0-6 against Silsbee since November of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Jasper has given up an average of 30.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jasper is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Shepherd on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bulldogs came up short against the Pirates, falling 32-7.

Meanwhile, Silsbee didn't have quite enough to beat West Orange-Stark on Friday and fell 33-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Mustangs since October 12, 2018.

Jasper will have to contain Jacaleb Johnson as he made an impact in Silsbee's last game. He rushed for 126 yards and one score, and also threw for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Silsbee's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Jasper, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Jasper couldn't quite finish off Silsbee in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 and fell 49-47. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
