Softball Recap: Albuquerque Falls Short Against Ranked Los Lunas

Albuquerque faced Los Lunas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bulldogs took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Naiyoki Wright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Albuquerque's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Los Lunas, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-6.

Coincidentally, Albuquerque and Los Lunas will both be playing Atrisco Heritage Academy the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 9th.
