Softball Recap: Centennial Cougars vs. Ravenwood Raptors

Centennial had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-20 to make it 12. They came up short against the Ravenwood Raptors, falling 14-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 on April 1st.

As for Ravenwood, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Ravenwood's part, they got a great performance from Campbell Raphael as she struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Rowan Wilson was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maddie Webster, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Coming up, Centennial will head out to face off against Page at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ravenwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
