Long Beach Poly dropped down to 3-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Mission Viejo Diablos and fell 56-7. While losing is never fun, the Jackrabbits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Diablos are ranked seventh).

Deuce Jefferson threw for 55 yards on six of 13 attempts. Jayden Coley was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards.

As for Mission Viejo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 39 points or more this season.

Luke Fahey had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 323 yards and two touchdowns while completing 91.3% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. Jack Junker was another key player, picking up 125 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Long Beach Poly wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 24-22 win against Millikan on the 10th. As for Mission Viejo, after each having a week off, they and San Clemente will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 909 yards in their previous games.
