Football Recap: Winslow Bulldogs vs. Payson Longhorns
Friday just wasn't the day for Winslow's offense. They were beaten by the Payson Longhorns 42-0 on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Winslow wouldn't let Payson keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Issac David, Tanner Short, and Raed Deschinny picked up one apiece. Winslow's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Payson, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winslow will welcome Holbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Payson, they will challenge Page at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Payson focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
