Volleyball Recap: Water Canyon Wildcats vs. Beaver Beavers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Sevier, Water Canyon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Beaver Beavers out 3-2. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 defeat the Beavers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

Water Canyon was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (98-92), but they still managed to win. After all that action, the final score was 25-12, 25-23, 14-25, 13-25, 15-13.

Beaver's loss came despite strong showings from Arikka Anderson and Lexi Hafen. Anderson had seven digs and two aces, while Hafen had 18 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Anderson has posted since back in August.

The win got Water Canyon back to even at 3-3. As for Beaver, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.

Water Canyon will host Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parowan will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Water Canyon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Beaver, they will head out on the road to take on Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
