Volleyball Recap: Waterloo Gets the Win

Waterloo saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Plainfield East Bengals by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Ellie Day was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven assists and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Day wasn't the only good servers: Waterloo was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Waterloo's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Plainfield East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Coincidentally, Waterloo and Plainfield East will both be playing Belleville East the next time they take the court. The Bengals will head out to face the Lancers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
