Basketball Recap: Green Wins Going Away Against Austintown-Fitch

Green's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 55-43 victory over the Austintown-Fitch Falcons. That 12 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

When it comes to explaining why Austintown-Fitch lost, don't look at Marcel Finkley. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-19 to rack up 21 points. The contest was Finkley's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Brady Evans, who posted five points and three steals.

Green's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Austintown-Fitch, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Green wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-53 victory against East on the 15th. As for Austintown-Fitch, they will face off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
