Baseball Recap: Fisher Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Plaquemines last Monday, Fisher came back down to earth. The Fisher Gators came up short against the Chalmette Owls on Tuesday, falling 14-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Owls: they've now lost three in a row.

Fisher saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Mike, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Fisher's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-1. As for Chalmette, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Fisher will take on Lutcher at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chalmette, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Chalmette Owls duke it out with Central Catholic Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
