Basketball Recap: Midlothian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Midlothian lost against Mansfield Timberview back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Midlothian Panthers took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mansfield Timberview Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Wolves are ranked 47th).

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Ross, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was ZOHAAN BENNETT, who earned five points.

Midlothian moved to 13-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Mansfield Timberview, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Midlothian has already played their next matchup, a 58-44 victory against Corsicana on the 3rd. As for Mansfield Timberview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-46 win against Everman on the 3rd.
