Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sullivan). They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Heritage Hawks on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Redskins as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Caden Saul was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kolton Wiley was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
