Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Mirage Rattlers vs. Palm Desert Aztecs

Rancho Mirage hasn't had much luck against Palm Desert recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rancho Mirage Rattlers will challenge the Palm Desert Aztecs at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Rancho Mirage sitting on five straight wins and Palm Desert on three.

Last Friday, Rancho Mirage humbled Xavier Prep with a 98-43 victory. The Rattlers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Palm Desert didn't have too much trouble with Serrano on Saturday as they won 61-44.

Palm Desert has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Rancho Mirage, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.

Rancho Mirage came up short against Palm Desert when the teams last played on January 8th, falling 70-63. Can Rancho Mirage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
