Basketball Recap: Niangua's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Niangua's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Verona Wildcats with a 43-37 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Niangua's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Verona, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Niangua Cardinals face off against the Everton Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for Verona, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Galena at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
