Soccer Recap: Richman Takes a Loss

Richman lost against Math Science & Engineering back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 9-3 to Math Science & Engineering. While losing is never fun, Richman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Math Science & Engineering are ranked 155th).

This is the second loss in a row for Richman and nudges their season record down to 1-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matchups. As for Math Science & Engineering, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Richman will square off against rival Brandeis at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Meanwhile, Math Science & Engineering is set to challenge their familiar foe Laguardia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
