Central Woodstock has gone 8-2 against Madison County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Central Woodstock Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Madison County Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Central Woodstock came up short against Strasburg and fell 48-37. The Falcons have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Madison County can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past Stonewall Jackson with points to spare, taking the game 39-24.

Madison County's win came from a few key players Central Woodstock will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ally Cave, who posted 11 points and four steals. What's more, she also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gracie Woodward, who put up six points and 14 boards.

Madison County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 16 consecutive matchups.

Madison County's win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15. As for Central Woodstock, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Everything came up roses for Central Woodstock against Madison County when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 62-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Woodstock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
