Volleyball Recap: Ware Shoals Comes Up Short

Ware Shoals was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the GREEN Upstate Owls. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

While Ware Shoals ultimately came up short, they really made GREEN Upstate work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-25, 25-19.

Ware Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for GREEN Upstate, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Ware Shoals is set to square off against their familiar foe Abbeville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, GREEN Upstate will challenge rival Whitmire at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
