Basketball Recap: Hapeville Charter Comes Up Short

Hapeville Charter lost against Holy Innocents Episcopal back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hapeville Charter Hornets took a blow against the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears, falling 67-36. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-17.

When it comes to explaining why Hapeville Charter lost, don't look at Kody Brown. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with five assists and five boards. Those five assists gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Person, who posted six points.

Caleb Wilson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten boards for Holy Innocents Episcopal. The game was Wilson's 18th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Devin Hutcherson, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Hapeville Charter is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
