Volleyball Game Preview: Torres Toros vs. Central Grizzlies

The Torres Toros will face off against the Central Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Torres is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Madera South just ended the team's eight-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Stallions by a score of 3-2.

Torres actually scored more points across those five sets (103-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-18, 6-25, 25-22, 18-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Central came up short against Madera South on Friday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 12-25, 25-12.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Torres, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-10.

Torres took their win against Central in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Toros repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
