Volleyball Recap: Espanola Valley Comes Up Short

Espanola Valley lost against Cottonwood Classical Prep back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sundevils lost 3-0 to the Coyotes. The Sundevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Espanola Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Cottonwood Classical Prep's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-15.

Espanola Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Espanola Valley will venture away from home to square off against Capital at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they will square off against Robertson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
