Recap: McComb Tigers vs. Wingfield Falcons

The McComb Tigers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Wingfield 52-0 at home. The result was nothing new for McComb, who have now won seven matches by 41 points or more so far this season.

Jamarcus Pittman was his usual excellent self, throwing for 210 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Pittman hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Fred Wells, who rushed for 38 yards and two touchdowns.

McComb's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.4 points per game. As for Wingfield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

McComb will head out on the road to face off against Raymond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raymond will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 158th, while McComb is ranked 23rd). As for Wingfield, they will be playing at home against Lanier on Friday. Lanier comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
