Baseball Recap: West Lafayette Comes Up Short

West Lafayette lost to Harrison back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Devils lost 12-4 to the Raiders.

Korbyn Keen and Ben Werth did some serious damage despite the final result: Keen went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Werth went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Keen is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joe Doty, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

West Lafayette has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Harrison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Lafayette will venture away from home to challenge Tipton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrison, they will head out to face off against Lake Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
