Football Game Preview: Paramus Spartans vs. Teaneck Highwaymen

The Paramus Spartans will face off against the Teaneck Highwaymen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Paramus comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Friday, Paramus ended up a good deal behind Dumont and lost 28-14.

Paramus' loss came about despite a quality game from Jakob Hosie, who threw for 248 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 36 yards. A healthy portion of Hosie's aerial production (102 yards to be exact) went to Theo Perides.

Meanwhile, Teaneck suffered their biggest defeat since October 10, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by River Dell and fell 45-17. The loss continues a trend for the Highwaymen in their meetings with the Golden Hawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Teaneck's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Paramus, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Paramus was taken down by Teaneck 35-7 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Spartans were down 21-0.
