Iota and Church Point are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Iota is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 62-0 win over Pine Prairie. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Church Point made easy work of Mamou on Friday and carried off a 41-16 win.

Church Point's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Iota, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Iota didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Church Point in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 23-19 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Bears' Jarrison Reese, who picked up 169 receiving yards, and also rushed for 50 yards. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Bulldogs still be able to contain Reese? There's only one way to find out.
