The Bulldogs blew past the Hawks 6-2. The victory continues a trend for Waterloo in their matchups with Gibault Catholic: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Highland entered their tilt with Breese Central on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Highland's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Breese Central are ranked 254th).

Highland's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those six contests. As for Waterloo, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-2.
