Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dillon Christian). They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over the Florence Christian Eagles on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Lilli Shooter made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-5.

In other batting news, Dillon Christian let Molly Andrews and Braylin Carter run wild. Andrews went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI, while Carter went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those doubles marked the first that Andrews hit this season. Fraley Britt was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Dillon Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Florence Christian only posted an OBP of .360.

Dillon Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dillon Christian will host King's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th. Dillon Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so King's Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Florence Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th.
