Softball Recap: Swanville Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Swanville won the last time they faced Ogilvie and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Lions. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Swanville's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Ogilvie, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swanville will venture away from home to face off against Osakis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ogilvie, they will head out to challenge Mora at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
