Softball Recap: Southridge Takes a Loss

Southridge and Gibson Southern squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Southridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. The Raiders have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Gibson Southern, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-8.

Southridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gibson Southern, they will square off against Vincennes Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Alices have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
