Softball Game Preview: Broadalbin-Perth Patriots vs. Hudson Falls Tigers

The Broadalbin-Perth Patriots will challenge the Hudson Falls Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Broadalbin-Perth hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Broadalbin-Perth's offense. They lost 10-0 to Glens Falls on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Hudson Falls came up short against Scotia-Glenville on Wednesday, falling 11-4.

Emily Harrington made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Madalyn Dudley, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Hudson Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Broadalbin-Perth has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hudson Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
