Basketball Game Preview: Brooks County Trojans vs. Turner County Titans

Brooks County is 1-6 against Turner County since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Brooks County Trojans will square off against the Turner County Titans at 7:30 p.m. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Brooks County easily dispatched Atkinson County on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Brooks County fell just short of Irwin County by a score of 69-67 on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Turner County didn't have quite enough to beat Charlton County on Wednesday and fell 52-49. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Titans came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Indians are ranked 442nd).

Brooks County's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Turner County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Brooks County lost to Turner County on the road by a decisive 65-49 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Brooks County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
