Recap: James F. Byrnes Rebels vs. Riverside Warriors
The James F. Byrnes Rebels pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Riverside. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (58), James F. Byrnes still had to take the loss.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayzzin McDowell, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. McDowell hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Evan Enos, who scored 9 points along with 3 blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for James F. Byrnes and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Riverside, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
James F. Byrnes will square off against South Pointe at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Riverside won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mauldin at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Mauldin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 285 points over their last four contests.
