Baseball Game Preview: West Genesee Wildcats vs. Baldwinsville Bees

The West Genesee Wildcats will take on the Baldwinsville Bees at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with West Genesee sitting on three straight wins and Baldwinsville on four.

On Saturday, it was close, but West Genesee sidestepped Victor for an 8-6 victory. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, Baldwinsville's hitters rose to the challenge against a Raiders pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.5 runs allowed on Saturday. The Bees came out on top against Proctor by a score of 12-9.

Baldwinsville's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Genesee, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

West Genesee couldn't quite finish off Baldwinsville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
