Volleyball Preview: Braham Bombers vs. Upsala Cardinals
Braham has been away from home for two games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Upsala Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. The last four games Braham has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Thursday, Braham narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Pine City 3-2.
Meanwhile, Upsala was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle.
While Upsala ultimatly came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-19.
Despite the loss, Upsala had strong showings from Corryn McDermond, who had seven digs, and Zoey Leners, who had seven kills.
Braham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Upsala, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
