Basketball Recap: Burkburnett Takes a Loss

Burkburnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nocona Indians. The Bulldogs lost against the Indians in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 71-25 score last time.

Burkburnett's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Nocona, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Burkburnett will be taking part in a tournament against Southwest Christian School at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nocona, they will venture away from home to square off against Iowa Park at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
