Recap: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Los Angeles CES Unicorns
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Cleveland Cavaliers can now relate to. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Unicorns on Friday. It was the first time this season that Cleveland let down their fans at home.
Cleveland lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Roman Finney, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jacob Mathis, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Cleveland's lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Mathis got a bit more time on the court (23 vs. his season average of 9.36). Mathis made the most of the opportunity, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Cleveland's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-10. As for Los Angeles CES, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-10.
Cleveland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Los Angeles CES's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chatsworth at 2:30 p.m. on February 17th. One thing working in Chatsworth's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 16 contests.
