Preview: Harding University Rams vs. West Charlotte Lions
Harding University is 1-9 against West Charlotte since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Harding University Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Charlotte Lions at 6:00 p.m. Harding University is out to stop a 16-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Harding University ended up a good deal behind Chambers and lost 68-49.
Meanwhile, West Charlotte was the victim of a tough 51-31 loss at the hands of Hough on Tuesday. West Charlotte has struggled against Hough recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Paige Bowman, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tionna Galloway, who scored eight points.
Harding University's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for West Charlotte, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Harding University lost to West Charlotte at home by a decisive 59-42 margin in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bowman, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Now that Harding University knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
