Softball Recap: Nampa Christian Extends Winning Streak to Six

Nampa Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Malad Dragons on Saturday, sneaking past 5-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won six games in a row.

Peyton Shook spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Gray, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Nampa Christian's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Malad, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 29-4.

As of now, neither Nampa Christian nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
