Basketball Recap: Illinois C Comes Up Short

Illinois C was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 65-52.

HomeSchool Resource Center got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noel Green out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Elias Moore was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 15 points and six steals.

Illinois C's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 7-16.

Illinois C does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, they will face off against Kankakee Trinity Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kankakee Trinity Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.
