Bishop came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Point Loma, but Olivia Karvelis wouldn't allow it. The Pointers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights on Thursday thanks in part to Karvelis, who had 17 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

While Point Loma might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Bishop's scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23.

Point Loma now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bishop's, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Point Loma will square off against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop's, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westview at 5:30 p.m. on September 8.
