Softball Recap: Carolina Academy Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Dorchester Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Carolina Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 5-2. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Raeley Frye made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Frye wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Braveboy, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Savannah McCutcheon was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Carolina Academy's record is now 18-8. As for Dorchester Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6.

As of now, neither Carolina Academy nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
