Softball Recap: Brewster Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Brewster got themselves on the board against Ketcham on Friday, but Ketcham never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Storm. The Bears were shut out 6-0 the last time they took on the Storm, so the Bears were just returning the favor.

Not much got past Arianna Arocho, who gave up just three hits to keep Ketcham off the board.

On the hitting side, Carly Krebs was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Brewster's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Ketcham, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Brewster will challenge Carmel at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ketcham, they will square off against Yorktown at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
