The Elkhorn Antlers will face off against the Blair Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkhorn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.

Elkhorn is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 13, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Skutt Catholic 67-35. While losing is never fun, the Antlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the SkyHawks are ranked fifth).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Peter Howard, who posted nine points. Jake Petersen was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Blair hadn't done well against Roncalli Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Blair came out on top against Roncalli Catholic by a score of 64-53.

Blair's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-11. As for Elkhorn, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Elkhorn beat Blair 66-54 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Blair's Crayton Macholan, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Elkhorn to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
