Softball Game Preview: North Garland Raiders vs. Sachse Mustangs

North Garland is 0-10 against Sachse since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The North Garland Raiders will welcome the Sachse Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

North Garland is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to Wylie East.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Sachse's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Wylie East, falling 12-6.

Cailyn Shane made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Shelby Siratt was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Sachse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post 11 or more hits.

Sachse's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for North Garland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

North Garland might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Sachse in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can North Garland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
