Volleyball Recap: Baker's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of four wins, Baker's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Lee Vining Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Baker ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-27, 25-21, 25-19.

Baker's loss dropped their record down to 13-23. As for Lee Vining, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.

Baker has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Immanuel Christian on the 22nd. As for Lee Vining, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mojave on the 20th.
