Basketball Recap: Hondo Avington's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Webster over Sequoyah

Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 66-57 to the Sequoyah Indians. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Indians are ranked 94th).

Webster lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hondo Avington, who en route to 21 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Kimble, who posted 11 points and six steals.

Webster's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Sequoyah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

As of now, neither Webster nor Sequoyah have any future games scheduled.
