Volleyball Game Preview: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. Coronado Islanders

The Mira Mesa Marauders will take on the Coronado Islanders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Mira Mesa didn't have quite enough to beat Patrick Henry and fell 3-2.

Mira Mesa wouldn't go down easily and took Patrick Henry into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 15-25, 24-26, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Coronado made easy work of Escondido on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Islanders.

Coronado never let Escondido on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 25-16.

Mira Mesa's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Coronado, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
