The Riverview Academy of Math and Science Barracudas will square off against the Patel Trailblazers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverview Academy of Math and Science is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Riverview Academy of Math and Science narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Universal Academy 50-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Barracudas.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tayshaun Johnson out in front who posted 11 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Those eight steals gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaron Riley, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-44, which was the final score in Patel's tilt against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 712th, while the Phoenix are ranked 258th).

Riverview Academy of Math and Science is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Patel, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-18.
