Basketball Recap: Twiggs County Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-39, which was the final score in the Twiggs County Cobras's tilt against the Upson-Lee Knights on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 528th, while the Knights are ranked 107th).

Defeat or not, Twiggs County got some senior leadership from Daniel Pitts and Brandon Davis. Pitts posted ten points, while Davis put up eight points.

Twiggs County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Upson-Lee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-5.
