Basketball Recap: Jessieville Comes Up Short

Jessieville lost against Baptist Prep back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jessieville Lions took a blow against the Baptist Prep Eagles, falling 61-25. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Eagles are ranked 57th).

Jessieville has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Baptist Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jessieville has already played their next contest (against Glen Rose), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Baptist Prep will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
